Interview was translated from Polish to English, so any typo’s, please forgive..
TVN7: (in Polish) Hi Paul, how are you? Paul Wesley
Oh hi, very good! Thanks, but you know what, I want to speak Polish, but unfortunately we have to talk in English, so we asked for.
Paul, I’d say as we’re on the topic Polish, if you’re a fan of Euro2012?
PW: Oh yes, I am! And basically I was, simply because of Poland. I’m just back from you about four days ago. I went to visit my grandparents and I wanted to go to the National Stadium, just at the time was approaching the match between Poland and the Czech Republic, but unfortunately I had to go back.
TVN7: We saw your entry on Twitter, how kibicowałeś our team during the match.
PW: Oh I was very, very upset and saddened by the Poles lost. I whole-heartedly for the Polish and the truth, I was so disappointed that it’s basically all the same to me who will win Euro 2012 if they do not play there for the Poles.
TVN7: For three years you’re a vampire, Stefan Salvador in the TV series “Vampire Diaries”. Or after this time is there anything else you would like to change Stafam?
PW: I was lucky that Stefan became a figure exactly as I would have liked. It is now much more interesting character than before, at the beginning of the show. I think it became a huge transformation by comparing the current episodes of the pilot episode, when the brothers Salvatore came to Mystic Falls. Stefan was then very intimidated by his older brother Damon. He was under the impression it was something like “wow … Damon.” And now is a much greater threat than Damon. It can be more brutal and far more capable of very bad things. And I am because of this very happy, because I did not want to be just that guy who is afraid of his brother.
TVN7: Currently on the air TVN7 emit the second season of “Vampire Diaries”, tell us which thread of this season was your favorite?
PW: necessarily behold the season to end, because the end of the season is really the best. Then it really turns out to be what the return will take place in next season. A third season is extremely difficult for Stefan. He will become very, very dark character. Total negation of Stefan, which you know from the first season. So approaching the end of the second season beginning to see what he is capable of. This is getting very engaging and interesting.
TVN7: In addition to work on “Memoirs” that you have career plans for the next time?
PW: I hope to do some movies. I made one last year and I hope to again this year. I would also work with the characters a bit older, having supernatural powers, but not necessarily be vampires. I would also like to throw in the deeper water, to make its capabilities, check out the comedy, because I love comedies. In fact, I would try each species. I also love the theater, it would be really great to play on stage!
TVN7: Can we see you on the big screen?
PW: In the next year to enter movie theaters under the title “The Baytown Outlaws” (Paul is here, among others in side of Eva Longoria and Billy Bob Thornton – ed) to my participation, there are several projects, but I can not give precise dates of their premieres. Recently worked on many projects and I would love, as now, to remain active in society, acting, playing and producing videos. Now producing a film with my friends. When my little work will be released, I will need tremendous support of my fans. I’m counting on you!
TVN7: You have a large fan base in Poland, I am sure will help!
PW: It’s nice to hear it! It’s very nice, in Poland they are all so nice. Recently, even when I went with my cousin in the evening, people came up to me to say how much you love the series, and this is what I love especially when I’m in Poland, is the fact that these people are not coming up because I am the Stafanem of “Memoirs “but for them I’m Paul. He immediately spoke Polish, because they know that I am a Pole, and they knew me not only because of the role it plays in the series. This is great.
TVN7: On our facebookowym TVN7 profile, your fans asked who would you be if you had a chance to be someone else for 24 hours?
PW: I do not know if I would be someone else. Maybe the Dalai Lama, in order to see how it is to have no worries. Be completely focused and never have any ills or torment the defects, which, after all we have. Yes .. it would be just the selection, or if the Dalai Lama is not even a Buddhist monk at the temple. That would be great!
TVN7: I have another question from the fans, or if you could take something with you on a deserted island, what would it be if there is something without which it hard to get by?
PW: I think too often I use my phone. It’s crazy how much can be done today using the phone! I got it, if not always in his hand, in the pocket, and frankly, I hate this. I’m totally addicted, because it provides so much information at once, and by the way is totally amazing that you can be 5000 miles away, jump out to eat and meet with someone of whose existence you do not even know if it was not today’s technology. Several times, even tried to do without a phone, but a lot of traveling and it is unfortunately too difficult. But I would love to be back in the days when it was not, so we were not tied. So if I could escape a deserted island somewhere, you probably would have left this stupid phone.
TVN7: We hope you come again soon, therefore, to Polish you in the future. Thanks for the interview and see you!
PW: (in Polish) Thank you very much! I hope to see you! Hi!
