All your favourite dysfunctional families are back:
- The Salvatores: Stefan ate Giuseppe who shot Damon AND Stefan who’s in love with a girl who Damon is also in love with but who is ACTUALLY their vampire mommy. EAT THAT, BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL.
- The Gilberts: Jenna the honey plays mommy to Jeremy the emo who’s issues have lots of little baby issues because Elena who actually does have an evil twin she can blame stuff on didn’t tell him that ooh she dates vampires who just happened to have hornswaggled away his Vicki the trampy vampy memories.
- The Lockwoods: If you can call your kid with a dog whistle, I’d say this has progressed further than any help even Dr Phil can offer, don’t you?
There’s Matt (love him), Caroline (hope she wakes up), Alaric (insert a COHERRANT SENTENCE <here>), Bonnie (don’ make her go all Avada Kedavra on yo’ Vampire ass).
And, of course, She Who Will Not Be Named.
Granted, glimpes of The Wes are brief, but (as always 
) totally worth the watch.
